Pulsar 125/150/220, NS160/NS200, N160/N250, Platina, CT, Avenger & Dominar — repaired and serviced at Charkop Sector 8.
The Pulsar is the bike many Kandivali riders grew up wanting, and the Platina is the one that quietly gives the best mileage in the area. Between them, Bajaj bikes are everywhere on Link Road — from college students on NS200s to delivery partners on Platinas doing 100+ km a day.
Bajaj bikes have a few habits worth knowing: classic DTS-i Pulsars use two spark plugs, the NS200 is liquid-cooled and needs coolant attention, and electrical parts like the regulator-rectifier take a beating in Mumbai humidity. Our mechanics work on these bikes every week, so diagnosis is quick and you're not paying for guesswork.
| Model | Type | Work we commonly do |
|---|---|---|
| Pulsar 125 / 150 / 220F | Sporty commuter | Twin spark plugs (DTS-i), clutch plates, chain kit, wiring, disc pads |
| Pulsar NS160 / NS200 / NS400Z | Naked sport | Coolant service (NS200), chain care, brake pads, FI cleaning, suspension |
| Pulsar N160 / N250 | Modern Pulsar | Oil change, ABS warning checks, chain, brakes |
| Platina / CT 100 / CT 110 | Mileage commuter | Brake shoes, clutch, cables, carb/FI tuning for mileage |
| Avenger / Dominar | Cruiser / Tourer | Oil and filter, chain, clutch, electrical and lighting |
On DTS-i Pulsars, one weak spark plug out of two is enough to cause misfires and poor mileage. We check both plugs and the caps.
A faulty regulator-rectifier can overcharge or undercharge the battery. We test charging voltage with a meter rather than replacing parts blindly.
Low coolant, air in the system or a fan that isn't switching on. We flush and refill coolant and check the fan circuit.
Common on Pulsars ridden in stop-go traffic. We lube or replace the clutch cable and inspect plates.
Air filter, plug, tyre pressure and brake drag all affect mileage. A tune-up usually restores it.
Bajaj general service covers engine oil (and oil filter where fitted), air filter, spark plug(s) — both plugs on twin-spark models — chain clean-lube-adjust, front and rear brakes, clutch and accelerator cables, battery and charging voltage, lighting, and coolant level on liquid-cooled models like the NS200. We finish with a road test on the service road near our Charkop workshop.

Most Pulsars and the NS/N range run tubeless tyres, so a nail puncture is usually a quick plug job. Platina and CT models may still have tube tyres on some variants. If the tyre is worn close to the tread indicator, we'll show you before suggesting a replacement — no pressure selling. More on our puncture repair service in Kandivali.
Bajaj bikes with self-start need a properly charged 12V battery. If your Pulsar battery keeps dying within a few months of replacement, the problem is often the charging system, not the battery. We test both before replacing anything. See bike battery replacement in Kandivali.
Owner tip: if your Pulsar headlight gets unusually bright when you rev and bulbs keep fusing, stop riding long distances and get the regulator-rectifier checked — it can damage a new battery quickly.
