Splendor, HF Deluxe, Passion, Glamour, Super Splendor, Xtreme, Xpulse, Destini & Pleasure — serviced at our Charkop Sector 8 workshop.
If you ride in Mumbai, there is a good chance it is a Hero. The Splendor and HF Deluxe are the workhorses of Charkop and Lalji Pada — the bikes that carry office-goers to Kandivali station, deliver tiffins along Link Road and run errands for every kirana and hardware shop around Charkop Market. These bikes are simple and tough, but they are also ridden hard, overloaded, and parked in the rain, so they need a mechanic who knows them inside out.
Our team has been opening Hero engines for years — from the old carburettor Splendor to the current BS6 fuel-injected models with i3S idle start-stop. We keep common Hero consumables in stock (brake shoes, clutch plates, cables, chain kits, spark plugs, filters), which is why most Hero jobs leave our workshop the same day.
| Model | Type | Work we commonly do |
|---|---|---|
| Splendor Plus / Super Splendor | Commuter, 100–125cc | General service, chain kit, clutch plates, i3S and self-start faults, carb/FI cleaning |
| HF Deluxe / HF 100 | Entry commuter | Brake shoes, cable replacement, kick-start and starting issues, wiring repair |
| Passion / Glamour | Commuter, 110–125cc | Engine tuning, rear drum or disc brakes, headlamp and indicator wiring |
| Xtreme 160R / Xpulse 200 | 160–200cc | Disc brake pads, chain lube and adjust, FI diagnostics, suspension check |
| Destini 125 / Pleasure+ / Maestro | Scooter | CVT belt and rollers, clutch shoes, self-start, tyre and battery |
Mumbai dust and monsoon water dry out the chain fast. A loose or stretched chain on a Splendor causes jerks while changing gear. We adjust, lube or replace the chain-sprocket kit.
Usually a weak battery, a worn starter relay or a loose earth wire. We test the battery first so you don't pay for parts you don't need.
If the engine doesn't restart smoothly at signals, the battery, sensor or switch is often the cause. We diagnose it properly instead of simply switching i3S off.
A clogged air filter, wrong tyre pressure, dragging brakes or a dirty carburettor/throttle body can drop mileage noticeably. A proper service usually brings it back.
Common on Splendors that carry heavy loads every day. We replace clutch plates and set free play correctly.
A Hero general service with us covers engine oil change, air filter cleaning or replacement, spark plug check, carburettor or throttle body cleaning, chain cleaning, lubing and adjustment, brake shoe and cable adjustment, clutch free play, battery and wiring check, tyre pressure and a test ride. For most commuter Hero bikes an oil change around every 3,000 km is a sensible interval for Mumbai traffic — check your owner's manual for your exact model.

Most new Hero bikes come with tubeless tyres, which we repair with a plug or mushroom patch in roughly 10–15 minutes. Older Splendor and HF Deluxe models with tube tyres take a little longer because the wheel has to come out. If the tube is torn or patched too many times, we will tell you honestly and replace it. Hero commuter bikes use a small 12V maintenance-free battery. If your Splendor starts with the kick but not with the button, or the horn sounds weak, get the battery tested first — testing is free at our workshop. We fit branded batteries with warranty and give an exchange value for the old one. See bike battery replacement in Kandivali.
Owner tip from our mechanics: after riding through a waterlogged lane in the monsoon, give the brakes a few gentle presses to dry them, and get the chain lubed within a day or two. It saves you a chain kit later.
