A scooter doesn't have gears — it uses a CVT (continuously variable transmission) with a rubber belt, roller weights and a centrifugal clutch. In Kandivali's stop-and-go traffic, those parts work harder than on the open road. When they wear, you feel it as vibration on take-off, a whining sound, poor pickup or lower mileage. A periodic CVT inspection catches this early, before the belt snaps.

Raj Auto Services at Charkop Sector 8, Kandivali West repairs and services all scooters — Activa, Jupiter, Ntorq, Access, Burgman, Dio, Fascino, RayZR, Destini and more.
Judder on take-off is usually from a worn or dirty clutch shoe, a worn CVT belt or flat-spotted roller weights. It is a common, fixable issue — we inspect the CVT and replace only worn parts.
Follow your owner's manual. For most 110–125cc scooters ridden in Mumbai traffic, a service around every 3,000 km (or every 3–4 months) works well.
Scooter service labour starts from around ₹350, plus engine oil and parts as required. You get the estimate before we begin.
Check that the brake lever is pressed while starting and the side stand is up (many scooters cut the starter otherwise). If it still doesn't crank, the battery is the most likely cause — we test it for free.
